Yowsa! That Hurts!

This morning at 6:30 am I was awakened by a real intense pain in my lower abdomen. At first, since I was groggy I thought it was the pain you usually feel when you have diarrhea (you know that intestinal growl that hurts?) but then I realized that it wasn't that at all. It was like someone reached deep into my vagina (where my cervix and uterus is I guess, very deep) and started moving things around. It went away after about 30 secs but when I woke up and even still now I feel a dull ache down there. It feels like it could be my uterus and it kinda feels like I gotta pee but peeing doesn't relieve it. At first I thought maybe a UTI but UTI's don't usually have an abrupt onset of pain like the one I had last night. It's not gas b/c truthfully (prepare for TMI) I've been passing gas all morning.

What do you think it could be?

I read that often in pg a woman feels pain b/c the baby has to move from the pelvic area to the upper part of the abdomen and that movement causes pain. Does this pain sound familiar to anyone?

sounds to me like you're having round ligament pain or something similar.

Basically your uterous is stretching and changing to make room for your baby. That can really hurt!

Probably just ligaments and connective tissues stretching. It can hurt quite a lot especially in a first pregnancy when those tissues have never been stretched out before.

I just noticed stretching pains today. I also noticed that if I sneeze hard, I get round ligament pains.

Yep, I got that when I blew my nose this morning. I've been having a lot of stretchy pains too, it feels like cramping, all day. But no spotting..
