What a good idea for a thread!
We have five pets:Macy
is our 8-year-old Maltese. We got her from a wonderful show breeder here in Michigan ... she was retired after her second litter, because she had some difficulties in the birthing process. We've had her for four years and just adore her! She has the sweetest little nature and is such a dear girl. She has a rare neurological disease called GME that we are currently treating her for. It's been a rough road, but she is finally doing a little better.Tiberius
is a 1-year-old German shepherd. We never really intended to get a second dog -- let alone one this BIG! -- but DH's friend ended up with an accidental litter. DH just adores both the sire and the dam and begged and begged for a puppy. Puppyhood was pretty trying, but he has grown into a very sweet, well-behaved boy.Nimo
is almost 10 years old. He's a flame-point Siamese that my former BF and I got when we were in college. (No, not an ideal time to get a kitty!) Despite the half-dozen times I've moved since I've had him, he is a remarkably well-adjusted kitty. He loves to cuddle and is a real mama's boy.Pawnee
is about 4. She was a bottle baby that a friend of mine in rescue raised. (Her mama died when she was teeny.) She's probably our pet who's least interested in us! Every now and then, she starts feeling a little snuggly, but most of the time she prefers to hang out with Nimo.Hercules
is around 2 years old. He is another bottle baby, raised by the same friend and for the same reason. He is SUPER cuddly and always wants to be near me, or anyone else who's around (he can almost be annoying, he's so clingy!) He is also a big-time purrer.
