my gram has become such a lactivist - it's cute!
i have had nothing but negative comments since not weaning my dd#1 when i found out i was preggo. i am now tandeming her (23mo) and my 3mo. my mil keeps saying things about older dd nursing and how it's time to wean and how it is more for my benefit than hers, etc. i was venting to grandma and she got huffy and said, "tell her she might nurse until she's 5. that'll keep her quiet! she's getting great hea;th benefits." go gram!
and ot: gram is anti-vax too...love that woman...she's the only one who diesn't think i'm nuts!
P.S. - this from a woman who nursed 1 (for a month) of her 5 kids because she was scared into not nursing from their doc...
