Redirecting a 7 mo?

My ds has started crawling and suddenly he is getting into everything. Generally we let him explore but there are a few things that are dangerous so we move him away from them, any electrical wire that we couldn't remove. But he just thinks it's a game. I've started signing stop with him but he isn't understanding that the idea is not to do it.

Any ideas... before my boy gets himself in real trouble?

With a baby so young I think all you can do is move him and then give him something safe to play with. It sounds like you have already baby-proofed as much as possible so he can still explore safely.
I don't think he is going to understand "stop" or "no" or "not safe" for a little while yet.

There is nothing you can do at this age, except redirect. Can you get wire covers, a baby gatem, or something else to block the wires?

Redirect
rearrange
distract
etc

At that age he can not control the impulse to do fun stuff Don't expect him to.
