Interesting......I just watched a show on PBS last night about heart disease so I'll add bf to the list of ways to prevent heart attack! Doesn't surprise me!

I guess it's because these are people who have found smart ways of dealing with stress and are also more likely to accept the inevitable.

Turning this around to normalize breastfeeding, as per Diane Wiessinger's wonderful article...

Not breastfeeding may have risk for the mother as well as the baby and could even increase the risk of having a heart attack, research has suggested.

A report published in the New Scientist journal found that mothers who have not spent at least two years breastfeeding are 25% more likely to have a heart attack than those who have.
Someone may need to check my math on that - if reducing 100 by 19% becomes 81, then increasing 81 by what percent becomes 100? Math was never my thing.
