I am glad it was so easy for her.

I hope she plans a UC if she has another.

Unfortunately, if she plans to go to the hospital for the next one, the OB will want to induce.

She probably didn't have time. It's not the first time something like this has happened.

What is that one book....something like True Stories From The Emergency Room, they had a few in there about births happening so fast that the baby ended up in pants leg and they had to cut the pants leg.
They had a scary one about a mom who was wearing snowpants....not like the kid ones, but like the men ones...Caterpillar Brand, maybe? By the time they got to the baby it wasn't breathing, but they got him breathing and it was a happy ending.

It wasn't that she went all that fast it has more to do with the weather here. The roads were really bad that day! most people were warned not to go out unless absolutely neccessary.

Oh goodness! That must have freaked her out a little!

I once attended a woman whose baby was held up by her girdle.

Around here (I don't know if it's cultural or coincidental) most of the Hispanic moms wear girdles during pregnancy. Sure enough, this lady had on her girdle. She was clearly laboring hard, and a security guard rushed her from the ER back to L&D (actually quite a haul) in a wheelchair. She was helped onto the bed, and as we took off her girdle, the baby came right along with it. The security guard hadn't had the time to leave, and he clapped after the baby was born. He was actually quite moved by his first childbirth.

That woman must have been going commando.

My last baby was held in by my underpants.

I was telling dh to get a pair of scissors and cut them off. Dh replied that it would be faster for him to just slide my panties off rather than try to find a pair of scissors :
