asthma treatments for kids - Page 3

Hey, this might not work for you, but it's just as likely an EE trigger as any med or food, really. Maybe less than a med since there aren't any fillers. Anyway, I posted about Ivy Leaf syrup in the main H&H forum to an asthma post. Just tried it recently and it worked wonders. THey also make drops in water, which might be doable for you guys (the syrup has some sort of sugar obviously.)

IATROGENIC includes not only antibiotics and vaccine toxins, but pesticides, herbasides,Airborn pollutants from vehicles,Factories dumping toxins in water supply,Fluoride pollutants in the water wells.
The farmers in India and Indonesia have been exposed to many of the dangerous toxins that have been banned in the usa for over 40 yrs,Sold to 3rd world countries still used today.
Each LAYER of these IATROGENIC toxins make imprints in our DNA,no way to expell it as the generations pass it on.
In the 21 century the mass over production of "Modern Medicines"has escalated the demise of our immune system. No longer able to fight off external/internal polutants.
Thousands of yrs ago we never saw the diseases of this 21 Century.
The diseases now are more complex, mutation of pathology, Quantum jumps via vaccine adverse effects never seen before.

You have my sympathies, there is nothing that is more frightening than a child that cannot breathe. On that note, I do support investigating alternatives in controlling day to day symptoms BUT if your child is having an acute exacerbation then it is imperative that you seek immediate medical attention on his or her behalf and treat the acute episode. There is a condition called status asthmaticus and it can be fatal.
One of the most effective treatments for asthma is prevention. If you can find the trigger and successfully avoid it then your child may only need an emergency (blue) inhaler with an aerochamber just in case. I reccomend an inhalor with an aerochamber because the drug delivery is just as effective as a nebulizer and it is more portable and thus available when your child needs it.
You mentioned that your daughter seems to react when she is outside, I do not know what climate you live in but there is also a type of asthma that is triggered by the cold and dry air. This type of asthma would not be detected with traditional allergy testing but it can be prevented by limiting exposure to the cold and wearing a scarf (loosely) over the face when she must be outside. Staying well hydrated is also imperative for anyone suffering from asthma, so lots of fluids, especially when active!

Keeping a log of your child's symptoms and following up with a qualified healthcare practitioner will go a long way in properly diagnosing what type of asthma your little girl has. I hope this helps!

As far as I know, pulmonary function testing is extremely difficult with children and the results are usually questionable because the tests require a high level of understanding from the participant.

Iatrogenic refers to any adverse mental or physical condition induced in a patient through the effects of medical treatment ie; a hospital caused infection or negative effects of chemotherapy. - While pestacides, herbacides and airborne pollutants do cause terrible effects on our health they are not, by definition, Iatrogenic.
