6 y.o. W/ Bulgy Gumline Around Molar - What Is It?

Is this a new molar that came in? Or is something wrong? The gum is puffed out all around that tooth and kind of comes up tooth the top of the tooth in one spot.

It looks like the back half of the molar has not quite popped all the way out, but it could be that the gum is just really swolen there.

There is no discoloration, no real pain, just bugs my dd.

To be honest dd doesn't know if she just got that tooth or if it's been there a while. It's the second molar on the bottom left.

Mamas, please help me solve this mystery and figure out if I should go to the dentist!

Might be 6 yr molars?

There's 1 and 2 year molars, so a third molar on each side would be the 6 yr.

Some of DD's molars are pretty HUGE . Maybe it just hasn't pushed it's way through enough? If it isn't horribly sore I would just keep an eye on it until her next cleaning.

my dd had HUGE molars that looked crazy painful, but she was really fine...

Just letting y'all know that even tho it looked really weird...it WAS just the molar coming thru.
