I used 2 of them at the same time to bathe my boys. I used them from about 7 months til about a month ago, since they do better now in the tub sitting and playing. I have always bathed them together since they were about 7 months old.

In the seats I would get them both washed while they played with the toys floating around them, it was easier to rinse them off. Once they were both cleaned, I drained the tub, and I was by myself I had the diapers in there with me, pulled one out at a time and dried and diapered, and then the other one. If DF was around we just each grabbed a kiddo and dried and diapered.

These are all really helpful ideas, mamas! It sure is nice to have someplace to ask these questions. I only have one friend IRL who is a mom, and I don't know of any AP MoMs IRL.

As far as bath seats not being AP, I think most anything must be more AP than one of my boys just crying on the floor while I bathe his brother, right? I'll have to look into them. We have a TINY bathroom and a shower/bath with sliding doors... talk about inconvenient for baby bathing, let alone two! We have a folding infant-toddler bath tub thing, but it's hard on our backs. It seems like my guys will be sitting up really soon, but I don't think I could trust them to sit still...they are SUPER SQUIRMY guys.

Is a shower sling a special thing or is it a regular sling that you only use in the shower? How do you wash a baby that's in a sling?

I did it! Last night I attempted the impossible! I bathed both boys at the same time in the tub (and my big jacuzzi tub at that) by myself! It actually went super well. They're 11 months old but one of them just doesn't care to sit (he can totally do it but he'd rather be on the go, kwim) so I was nervous about that, but he did really well (only once did he try to move around). I put a few bath toys in & filled it with soapy water (well, filled it about 2 inches or so) and then just rubbed them down with a wash cloth. The only drama was when I had to take them out. One of them was not at all happy with that and then of course I did this all right before bedtime which is meltdown time for them anyway, so the timing wasn't great on my part. Oh well! At least now I know it's possible and they're clean for the first time in maybe 6 weeks.

Oh, I have one of these and LOVE it. I also start out with one, washing the baby's body and hair. I then place her into this seat while I wash the other baby. I'd love another seat so I could let them play together for awhile. Currently, I hold the one (slippery) baby near the one in the seat so they can splash water for a minute or two. Then, I take one out, leaving the other in the seat, dry her off, diaper and dress her (usually on the floor right next to the tub), putting her in a bouncy seat or exersaucer when done. Then, I process the other baby.

Even though one isn't sitting up yet, she does great in the seat. Still, keep a close eye in case they move their legs funny or something and put themselves in danger. ALWAYS have everything they'll need after the bath ready before you start. If you forget something, do without it until you get the second baby out (even if you have to put the first baby in the bouncer wrapped with a towel).
