book for a library

I am intern working at a public library. We need to add a book or two to the collection on the topic of breastfeeding. I compiled a list, but then it occurred to me that the Mothering Boards could probably tell me the very best choices.

So...what books would you recommend as the absolute best for a public library to offer?

Thanks,
Deborah

The Breastfeeding Book of Answers

The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding (LLL)

The Breastfeeding Book (Dr. William Sears)

If you go to the LLL website, you'll see loads of good books. I'm glad your library is stocking it's shelves with these!

Thanks! I'll go see which ones are in print. If anyone else has suggestions, please post, I'll come and look again tomorrow.

While pregnant I read EVERYTHING that was available to read about breastfeeding. My very favorite is Dr. Sears The Breastfeeding Book.

When I first saw SEARS written down the side I thought the department store Sears put out a book for bf'ng Mom's.

By the time we're through you'll have enough suggestions for a whole shelf!

I second the vote for Dr. Jack Newman's Ultimate Breastfeeding Book of Answers. I also really like Kathleen Huggins' Nursing Mother's Companion. Her book Nursing Mother's Guide to Weaning is good, too.

A big vote for Nursing Mother, Working Mother by Gale Pryor. Your library should get two copies of this one!

I also love The Nursing Mother's Problem Solver by Claire Martin. It had information on problems in there that no other book had (and that I've seen a lot of questions on the boards about).

thank you

Thanks to everyone who listed a book. I think the library will have a greatly improved section due to your suggestions and help.

A fun one:

So That's What They're For would be good as well. It's written especially for those not sure, but is a good read for anyone.
