but still okay. Short version is - bp went through the roof on Feb 9/07 (was due Feb 27/07) so my midwife brought me into the hospital. It was decided, after administering meds to control my bp that I would be induced that night. Induction/labour was long, unproductive and full of one intervention after another until the evening of Feb 10 when Patrick William made a quick entry into the world. He weighed 5 lbs 12 oz and was lucky enough to be caught by the hands of my wonderful midwife. We came home the next day, but at one week later, we are still dealing with high BP, bedrest, and medication. As different as it was from my ideal birth, it all happened that way for a reason and I'm positive that's why our little boy is here with us today. He's nursing like a champ and is generally a calm and easy going little guy.
