What is the best sling or carrier that you have used.

So far my mei tai from meitaicarrier.com is my no fail carrier! Even my dh loves it.

We have a lucky-baby pouch, a maya ring sling, and a ellaroo ring sling as well. They're all great, but the mei tai seems the easiest to very quickly settle him in.

Here we are at the beach just yesterday!

Oooh Paradoxia, I am so jealous that you are near a beach! It is nose snot freezing cold here.

My fav has always been our Hug-a-Bub. It's a long stretchy wrap, and we've used it for both of our sons since they were born. It's not hard to learn and is super comfy and the kids love it. I have a ton of others inc. a RS, a mei tai and pouches but it is our favorite to use. I'm thinking about getting a didy, however, because it can be hard with a kid as heavy as ours.

Our favorite was a pouch when ds was younger, but now that he is a toddler I love my http://catbirdbaby.com mei tai. It is so supportive and soft!

: Good to know, ds is approaching max. weight on the one we have now.

Loved our pouch when he was smaller, but the Ergo is our go-to carrier these days. It's lasted us for ages now, and will last for several more years, because it's so comfy to carry even heavy toddlers. Best $$ we spent!

I've been a total babywearer for over 4 years now and I only wish I'd found mei tais sooner, specifically my CatBird Baby. I totally swear by it now!

My Storchenwiege wrap hands down...or my Sachi silk when I need a little glam in my life

My Freehand!

My Babyhawk mei tai is my current fav.

I also love my hotslings (yes, plural) and my ellaroo wrap.

My BabyHawk is my no-fail carrier. I can always get it on right. It's also the one that my DH prefers. He has only used our Kozy and the BH and he said he likes the BH much better. It feels better on his shoulders.

When I've done a good job wrapping, my Storches are next. They are fantastic for me on the front, but I need to fix my technique for back carries.

We go through stages. I love, love, love a stretchy wrap for a newborn and then a woven wrap (Storch & Hopp are my faves). But now dd is an active toddler and has virtually no patience for wrapping, so the Kozy is our go-to carrier right now.

My hotsling is one that I could have never done without! I love it!
But now he's ready for a Beco.
Next week can't come fast enough!

Stretchy wraps for newborns and then after that my Storch, Maya Wrap and Ergo. If I had to pick just one? (I don't think I can...) I guess the Maya, even though the Storch and Ergo are so comfortable the Maya is super simple, versitile, doesn't take up much room and is good for lots of other uses (like a burp cloth when the babe spits up on your shoulder).

right now i am LOVING my Ellaroo Lightly Padded RS. its the best for hip carries and is easy to adjust

i do need to start lookiing into getting a different one for the new babe due in Aug so i will be watching this thread.

I really found the sling love with MT's that I made, and then moved on to a woven wrap (Girasol). I still use the ring sling ocassionally, but I really need to make myself a new one.

If I could only have one carrier it would most definitely be a MT!

The pictures on the babyhawks site only show baby parent-facing and on the backs...can you not have them forward facing in a BH?

I'm looking for a Mei TIe and am having a difficult time choosing the right one
