Help - he doesn't like anything

My 6 mo ds doesn't like - or Should say didn't like his trraining potty I picked up so we went back to sitting him at the big toilet which he seemed to prefer.

After a few poop successes and pee successes he seems to hate being sat down there at all - always arching his back.

What should I be doing to get through this. It doesn't quite feel right to be trying to sit him there ... but 50% of the time if I can get him there he does something, usually pee. What is adding to the "prob" is that diaper changes are becoming wrestling matches as well.

My guy is like this too. Sometimes we catch one, but sometimes I just have to leave the bathroom and let him go in his dipe b/c it seems to be stressing him out. Sometimes we use the toilet, sometimes the BBLP. Doesn't seem to matter.

Currently I nurse 10 mo DS while he sits at the sink. This seems a little backwards to me because he peed w/o nursing at 3 mo.

Around 5 mo his favorite location was on the BBLP where he could look out the window.

Good bribes seem to be useful for potty sitting & diaper changes. DS's favorites include: toothbrush, hairbrush, water spray bottle, wipes container

We've never actually used a potty, just help Ds in our arms, at the sink, toilet, tub, bush, etc. but he definately has gone through back arching phases.

Usually, it means he just wants to potty somewhere else, i.e. we're upstairs and he wants the downstairs sink. Why? Who knows. But IME, just changing location or potty has often brought us sucess. Or, we take it as sign he doesn't have to go right then. We had this happen a lot when Ds was suddenly able to hold his pee longer and we hadn't caught on to that yet so we were just offering too often.

We are in the same situation.... He is ok sitting on the potty sometimes but not ok most of the time. In this morning, he peed 3 times immediately after I had him sat on the potty.......... He doesn't like to lie down when I change his diapers too.............

My DS has pretty much always liked peeing in the tub. I just stood him there and if he needed encourgment I ran the water really quickly and he would pee. Now he goes on the toilet or in the tub...I was afraid he would only pee in a tub forever but nope..he can go either way now.
