Ovulation and Cervical Mucus/discharge??

I'm looking this up online after I finish this post but I thought I would check here first. It's kind of cool to be able to read personal experiences instead of just relying on medical fact. Anyway, I've been on 500mg of Metformin since the beginning of January. I had my first "normal" length period from February 2nd to February 8th and then I had VERY VERY light pink bleeding on the 10th but nothing since then. I had planned on buying some OPK's but could not afford it this month. I don't think I've ever ovulated so I have no tell-tale signs to go by. (According to my best friend she gets pains on the side she ovulates from) I've read about the consistency of cervical mucus before but don't really recall what goes with what...for example...egg white mucus means ??? Yesterday, while at work, I had sharp pains on my side for a couple of minutes and then they stopped. I did stand for 9 hours yesterday so the pain could have been from anything. This is gross and probably TMI but on my break I went to the bathroom because I felt very wet. I would say about HALF of my underwear was soaking wet and it had no real color to it. It actually soaked through to my pants. I have NEVER had that happen and I have no idea what it could have been. Any ideas why I had such a heavy clear discharge?? I know you ladies can't tell me if I really did ovulate or not but I thought I would share my experience and see what kind of feedback I got..Thanks! I'm off to go look at fertility friend!

The wetness could be fertile clear mucus even if it's not stretchy. Make a note and see if you see anymore or if you feel dry when you wipe in the next few days or when your next cycle starts. If you haven't already try to get Taking Charge of Your Fertility book it's full of info on pinpointing when ovulation is likely occuring. My library had it.

Thank you for your thoughts. I'm going to look for that book asap. I doubt I ovulated because I started bleeding again today. So I guess the medicine isn't helping like I thought it was. Back to my body playing the same old tricks on me.

Could the Met increase your cm? I did 2 cycles of gonal f and was swimming in ewcm for days. Maybe the Met does the same thing?

Also, for the OPK's...you may already know this, but you can buy them at the $ store. They are so expensive and I never buy them, then I found them at the $ store.
