Had my first apt today

At the birth center. The midwife was so awesome when I called yesterday she said that she would see me today and asses me and we would go from there on weather she thinks I would be able to birth there. Ive had issues with bleeding and high blood pressure but when she checked everything she said everything looked great. Then she did the examination since Ive been having contractions and I'm 2 cm dilated but my cervix hasn't softened at all witch kinda depresses me. I had a really good feeling that i would be having this baby soon. But all looks good and i will see her weekly until little Kris is born.

Actually im feeling great about it, I feel like the midwife understands me in ways that the docs never really tried to get to know me lol. I definitely think that any babies in the future will either be at the birth center or maybe if i can talk DH into it a home birth.

So glad the appointment went well! I'm considering switching to a different midwife too, birthcenter to homebirth. I just hope that I can get dh on board for a consultation.

Sounds awesome! I don't know what birth center you're going to, but I'm going to the Green House Birth Center & I've just been loving the midwives there lately. The appt.s are so chatty and friendly.
