Why didn't I start reading this board earlier?

I have to say that I feel so much better reading posts here at MDC than at another "mommies" message board that I belong to. There, I feel like I'm talking to a brick wall and my opinion is rarely read or acknowledged because what I think doesn't "fit in" with everyone and I don't always say what people want to hear. Where as here I feel like I don't even need to comment most of the time because everyone already knows or says what I want to say.
I just wanted to say that it's so great to have an alternative to the usual "mainstream" stuff.

I know! I originally came here after googling for "c-section support". Every other hit I got, except ICAN, was all about "c-sections are the best thing ever - soooo convenient, yadda, yadda, yadda". I was in tears and feeling like a freak (I'm not all that fond of being cut up) by the time I clicked a link to this forum.

I feel the same way about another mommy board I'm on, and I believe we're on the same one, see_nelle_run. LOL I just got out of a hospital vs. homebirth debate and I feel like banging my head against a wall.

BTW: my dd's name is Jenelle... so naturally I love your name
