My dd also was exactly 6lbs 11 oz when she was born and also was jaundiced. Hang in there mama!!! I know it's not easy, and make sure you express your emotions, don't hold them back!

With preemie sleepy babes with weak latch, it sometimes helps to use a nipple shield. My older dd used one for about 2-3 weeks (until she was essentially "term") and my younger one, who was born without that reflex and had to be tube fed used one for about 2 months. DD#1 nursed until 4, DD#2 is still nursing now. HTH!
