but today I lost my mucus plug, tinged with a little blood. Anyone else experience this? I don't remember it happening this way with my other two. From everything I read it doesn't mean labor is on its way but I'm dilated to 3 cms and I'm kinda nervous she might come too early (I'll be 37 weeks on thursday). My other two were 8 days late and right on her duedate, respectively. Has anyone else had experience with losing their plug and having labor start soon thereafter?

I've always heard that it was no indication that labor would start right away; I'd guess you were fine still.
And 37 weeks is usually perfectly fine!
Urm...it's 1:30 and I have to tell someone...I'm having a little mild but regularish cramping...hmmmmm Could it be? I'd better get my tushie to bed; if it is, I have a LOT of packing to do tomorrow!

That is so not tmi. I mean, have you heard some of the things discussed on here?
I did lose my plug with my first, but never went into labor, it reforms in 24 hours if you don't start labor. But it can be a sign. I also never lost it until pushing with my second.
But on that note, I had some weird stuff yesterday that might have been part of my plug and I am not 37 weeks until Monday, so I am freaked out because I am having infrequent but intense contractions. Cinnamonamon, go PACK!!!! As for going early when your others weren't early, I guess we get to find out. Neither of mine were before 40 weeks, and my midwife seems to think that I might keep my babies in for that long, but right now I am feeling like I have to hold my baby inside of me to keep it from coming out too early.

How ya feeling today, Lydia? I just noticed you're here in MI... don't worry, it's the weather messin' with ya -- your body's bored with it & wants something to happen...since Spring is no where in sight, it's providing it's own entertainment!
Okay...maybe that's a stretch, lol.
Anywho, give yourself a hug and curl up on the couch to relax a bit.
I'm off to pack some, although I suspect that this isn't really labor -- or if it is it's super early (maybe I'm just in denial, though!
) Ah well, it'll give me an excuse not to clean much for playgroup today!

cinnamon mom go pack!! Hehe even if its not "the real deal" at least you won't have to re-pack later.
I'm doing good today!! I woke up at 730 and cleaned out my *disgusting* microwave. After drinking this raspberry leaf tea I'm gonna go and do the inside of the fridge too. The weather here is finally "warm" haha its giving me false hope of spring! But I've lived in Michigan my whole life so I know that more than likely we'll be having freezing temps into April
some PP said the MP remakes itself if you don't go into labor? I've never heard of that before!! Even if you are dilated?

Geez, come clean my fridge too, k?
I hear ya on the weather thing...I've realized dh has 2 excuses for not doing more than the bare minimum shoveling: 1. it's going to melt soon anyway, 2. it's just going to snow more anyway...
Gotta run, my 2 year old just peed on the floor...
