My Eventfull Night

Well i wish i could say i had a baby in all the events last night but no can do, DH got home from work around 8pm. I told him id been having contractions but they have been so on and off i really didn't think they meant anything. So we make dinner and eat while watching a movie. Its about 11 and we go to get ready for bed. So the minute i lay down I start getting contractions again. This time they are really close together but my water hasn't broke and im dead set on staying home until it breaks, Well after the pain got too unbearable i told DH to get dressed we are going to the Birth Center. So I call my midwife and tell her we are on our way. We get all the way to the birth center and the contractions totally STOP!! I let my midwife check me and there is no change in my cervix at all and she said it was most likely false labor and that i happens to everyone. I felt so horrible. Poor DH had to take me back home around 1am and then he had to get up at 3am to go to work. I felt so bad i cried for most of the car ride home. We would have been so unprepared, i don't have a bag packed yet or anything.

Oh, mama, I'm so sorry! I know you were excited, and then the hassle, and UGH!

Before you know it, you'll be driving to that birth center, bag in the back seat next to the car seat, and driving back home with a new little family member!

I'm sorry Elaina! I never have contractions until I'm really in labor so I can't relate but I can understand the emotions you are feeling! Like the pp said, soon this will be over and you'll be driving home with your new little blessing. Hang in there!
