Share your recipes for homemade house cleaners :)

I am thinking of buying white vinegar and baking soda at costco for cleaning but I have no idea how to use them! Do you mix them? What kind of cleaning are they good for?

Does anyone have any tips and recipes for homemade cleaning solutions for saving money?

I keep the vinegar with water (1/2 and 1/2) in a spray bottle. I spray it on, sprinkle on some bs and go to town.

Sometimes I add lavendar or orange essential oil to it...

You can do a lot with those two items

This is my first post to MDC. Finally, something I know about!

This is how I clean with vingegar: put a drop or two of liquid soap (Dr. Bronners or dish soap, etc.) in your spray bottle, fill halfway up with vinegar, shake to mix, add a few drops (5 or 6) of essential oil if you have any (I like tea tree and lavender), shake again and fill the rest of the way up with water.

You can make your solution stronger or weaker. This makes an all purpose cleaner you can use in every room. Sprinkle baking soda on whatever you need to scrub or scour: sinks, tile, tub, etc. after spraying with your new all purpose solution.

When you mix the vinegar and baking soda it sets off a fun reaction. If you have a clogged drain you can unclog it with a cup of baking soda, a cup of vinegar, and after a few minutes, a kettle full of boiling water.

Before my little girl was born I lived in Vermont too and had a business called Lavender Laudress.
