but

here is my question.....

has anyone ever gotten a "too soon" neg and then gotten a POS when the tiem was right?

Not me, but my friend has, twice. She always had low hCG levels until she was at least two weeks past her expected period, but she knew in her heart both times that she was pregnant (which for her was not a good thing).

I, on the other hand, could not START my period without POAS. I accidently trained myself to start my period only after a negative result..

I have. With ds I POAS a few days before AF was due and I was just positive that I was pregnant but I got a -. I waited until the day AF was due and I POAS again and got a +.

Yes, with this pregnancy.

With both my pregnancies I got ++HPT at 10DPO, don't know what you mean by too early...

Me! With both of me preganancies it took forever to get a +. With my first I was 1 week late and I *knew* I was pregnant but the urine HCG was negative. I had to take a blood test at about 1.5 weeks late to get a BFP. With my second it took at blood test at 1 week late to get a BFP, all the urine HCG were negative until then.

Like a PP said, I think I have myself "trained" now. AF can be two days late so I get all excited and test, get a BFN, and within a few hours bleeding heavily.

With this pregnancy. I had two neg tests, so I figured it wasn't going to happen this cycle. My period was late when I took one of them, but I had just gotten off the pill so I thought that my cycle was messed up because of that. After the second one, I went out for a night of crazy drinking :

Two days after that, bf and I went to lunch with his mother, and I got *that* feeling. I just knew. But I didn't really believe it because of the two neg tests. I had always planned on breaking the news to bf in some cute way, but I was in so much shock that I came out of the bathroom waving the stick and yelling "This isn't positive is it? It looks POSITIVE!"

So yeah, I think sometimes it takes a while for the hormones to build up enough to get that positive.

Yes. This time I got a - and then started what I thought was my period. But a few days into it I realized this is not AF, this is wierd. So I took another test the day after the bleeding stopped and sure enough it was +.

With my 5th I knew I was pg and kept taking tests till it turned up +. Took like 3 days.

Happened with last 2 pg. I tested at 10,11,12,13,and 14 dpo. BFN. Next day, BFP!

Yup. I got a negative blood test at 10 DPO, positive (suuuuper faint + at 12 DPO, night time) 2 negative HPT's on the morning of 13 DPO, followed by a positive HPT that morning and a positive blood test that morning. Did you follow all that? :

I had strong + with both of my boys at 10dpo. This time around I tested at 12 dpo saw something but was sure it was just me or an evap line. Tested again at 15 dpo and it turned + in seconds.

The opposite happened to me- I got a VERY faint positive at 8dpo (I know... I should NOT have tested that early- but I had just found out that SIL was preggo and wanted to see if I was as well).

Yes, I don't test + until a couple days after AF is due, no matter what pg test I use. :

Yes I started testing at 4 DPO LOL just for fun and of course it was neg... got a bfp at 8 DPO

I tested the day I missed my period and got a negative, then re-tested a week later and got a faint Turns out I ovulated late that month even though I was normally spot-on day-14.
