What training pants do you recommend at 9 months?

We want to start using training pants when we are home (we use prefolds/covers now), so what would you recommend for a 22 lb. ds? I notice that most pants start at 2T, but those would be too big.
Thanks.

Our dd is 6 mo and 17 lbs and we use JCPenny training pants. They are unavailable on line, only in store. They are still a bit big for her but wash in hot water and they shrink pretty well. They are not very absorbent. They are great for the mobile babe. Gerber trainers are also ok. Give 'em a shot, they are cheaper than the Penny's brand.

Both the Gerber and JC Penney trainers in a 2T should fit a 22 lb baby fine, even if the package says they're for kids who weigh more than that. Gerber also has an 18 month size that I found at Babies R Us once.

We got the 18 month size Gerber brand from Target. My baby started wearing them at 9 months old and they fit her great. She is an average sized baby.

They shrink up a little which is nice and they get very fluffy and absorbent after a few washes. We like them a lot.

Someone already posted this long time ago, so I may be repeating, but yesterday I bought 2T size undies for my 11month old, and they fit perfectly, much better than Gerber's which are too high. DS is rather small for his age, still wearing 6-9 month clothes, so I think they would be good for younger babies too. And they were on clearance for 1.99. Normally they are 3 for $12. The only difference between the regular and clearanced ones was the fabric pattern.
They are not exactly training pants, I think they are meant to be a normal underwear as there is no absorbent layer, but I don't care about that. They are soooo cute on DS's little butt!

Luvable Friends are thicker than Gerber, we wear size 2 (the smallest we could find) which is for 24-28 pounds (or something like that, don't quote me) and dd is 22 pounds.

From Buy Buy Baby in Manhattan, not sure if they are a chain.

The Gerber 18mo size fit DS well starting at about 9mo. I think he was somewhere in the range of 16lbs at the time, with chunky thighs and a tiny bum. He's now about 25lbs, still with chunky thighs and a tiny bum, and they still fit really well.

I like the Wee Essentials a lot too, but the 2T is almost too small for DS now (and I just bought 2 new packs a couple months ago!)
