Symptom Timing with Regards to Testing

Please excuse my ignorance on the topic; my 'baby' is 5.5, so my memory is a bit rusty. When you are experiencing symptoms, does that mean it's okay to test (meaning that there is enough hcg to register), or is it more common to experience symptoms (nipple/breast tenderness, dizziness, sleepiness) before it's even time to test?

I did look online, but there are as many opinions as stars in the sky, so I figured I'd ask here.

Thanks!

The problem is, those (symptoms you mentioned) are common PMS symptoms. I'm having breast tenderness, nausea, dizziness, sleepy, and for me its just PMS. Like CalebMa said, its different for every woman.
