Question about postpartum pain (3 1/2 months postpartum)

I'm not sure if you can help me out here, but I thought I'd give it a try:

I had a great UC 3 1/2 months ago, with a straightforward 2nd degree tear that I chose to have stitched. I had a lot of pain (but probably normal for having a baby) for the first week or 2, but it was good because it helped me take it very easy and cuddle in bed a lot. My stitches & perineum didn't really hurt at all as they healed.

Okay, now fastforward 3 1/2 months later: I am still having constant pain. It's not terrible, more of a constant dull ache, but it sure is annoying! It's not on my perineum; I'd say it's more on my vulva/inside my vagina and radiating down on either side towards my legs a bit. I am scratching my head about why I'd still have this ongoing pain, as I don't think I still have any injured tissue that's healing, etc. It's not debilitating, but let's just say dh and I are getting NO action because I have no desire for sex! It's worse after I've been on my feet a lot, but it never goes away entirely.

So, do I just live with this? If I had it checked out by someone, would it change anything? I don't know any OBs or midwives, so I am hesitant to make an appointment with a stranger.

I can tell you that w my 3rd I had a constant throb for many many months. I did not tear with her either. I finally went to a CNM who did homebirths prior to moving here and is a CPM at 15 months PP. She and I looked at what was going on and discussed it openly. There was nothing she could see... I wonder if a GYN might have been better, but I would not have gone to a 'medical' person at that time in my life. I still had squatting pain and discomfort going into my 4th pregnancy a little over 2 yrs later.
