Waterproof training pants

Anybody had any experience using waterproof training pants? They sound like they would be a good option for short outings, since our confidence when we are out is pretty low but after using training pants at home I just hate the bulk of diapers now.

Any recommended brands?

I recommend just using a pull-on waterproof cover over regular training pants. When DD was little, I did get some of the Gerber waterproof trainers, but they were bulky and didn't look very comfortable, and I think I found they weren't even that leak-proof. (I only used them a few times, though.)

the waterproof cover is probably the cheapest way to go...the ec store (www.theecstore.com) sells ones that seem much nicer than the plastic pants you can get at a normal store. They also have waterproof training pants there, and if you are just using them for outings, you would probably only need a few pairs.

I had Kushies for Ben. The fit was not good-very poofy. We only used them for a very short itme before we realized that he didn't seem to differenrtiate between them and diapers. We switched to cotton gerbers and stopped having misses. He was about 26 months.
