Just noticed this today, wondering what folks think about it. I think its interesting that 'natural' seems to be gaining in mainstream popularity, but of course something about pottery barn claiming it seems weird. (You can see on their site www.potterybarn.com)

We just got the catalog. I kind of chuckled when I saw it.

There is a blurb about what they mean by "natural." It says they are just using nature as inspiration, basically. I like it.
Here is the blurb:

Gives me the heebie jeebies. : Now, if all of that stuff were made with earth friendly materials under fair working conditions, I'd be all about it. I do like to look at PB catalogs for inspiration from time to time, but I very rarely buy anything from them.

P.S. I like to try to find the "greener" and hopefully less expensive versions!!

I love PB, but I've never bought anything from them.

I love the style, but the furniture is so expensive, I can't possibly afford it. I actually have a gift cert for them that I keep trying to spend, but either I want more than the gift cert is for, or I can get it so much cheaper elsewhere. Someday maybe.

I think people are really starting to abuse the word 'natural'. If they would have said, 'naturally inspired', that would be different.

I flipped through the magazine and I noticed when something was 100% wool, they were sure to point it out, but they sure didn't mention what most of it was made of...

Natural = offwhite and brown
