I only have 2 under my belt but .....

#1 was pretty text book 38lb weight gain, morning sickness that ended at about 13 weeks. Tired during the first tri., felt great till about 39 1/2 weeks.

#2 was A LOT different, 55lb weight gain, morning sickness that seemed like it would never end(ended at about 20 weeks) tired ALL the time!

#1 -- sore breasts, nausea. I miscarried at 7 weeks.

#2 -- No symptoms except for my expanding waistline. I didnt feel him move much and I didnt get very big with him. I expanded all around instead of having a nice preggo belly. I gained 31 pounds, 10 of which was in the last week. Mild high b/p, but nothing that needed meds or other intervention. The labor was horribly painful and quick, ending with an emergency c/s just after I got to 10cm dilated. Very hard recovery including an incision infection.

#3 -- I would go through it all 100 times over before I would do another pregnancy/birth like #2. Pregnancy was harder with m/s, back and hip pain, major abdominal stretching (I got HUGE), painful breasts, headaches, PIH, swelling...etc etc etc. Labor went quick again, but it was "easy" this time. I wasnt positive that I was in labor and didnt even get totally admitted to the hospital before he was born. Recovery was easy peasy this time. I was up walking within an hour. I gained 11 pounds.

#1 - no symptoms, horrible m/c

#2 - felt weird, had a pg test, as soon as i knew ms hit me like truck. ended
as a chemical pg

#3 - thought i had the flu, pos test, horrible ms but hungry early in the am,
m/c at 12 weeks

#4 - ONE nipple hurt like it was frozen with ice. woke up starving (never
hungry in am). pos test at 7 wks. ms hit me about 9 weeks and
lasted until i was about 6 months pg! searing and constant heartburn
replaced ms until the day i delivered. really bad upper back pain from
7 months on. i could stand, walk, squat and lay down. sitting up was
pure agony. but delivery was a great and fun homebirth!

i hope the next pregnancy will be different. i've done research on ms and think i have the answer. AROMATHERAPY. as far as the back pain, i will be getting massages and doing MORE yoga.

During my first pregnancy (girl), I had no MS or breast soreness, felt great if a little more easily tired. I loved being pregnant. DD was extremely active (I frequently noted more than 80 movements an hour) and went head down and engaged quite early -- around 32 weeks. I developed pregnancy-induced carpal tunnel about halfway through, no doubt aggravated by the fact that I was doing a lot of typing at my job as an editor. I had Braxton-Hicks but no early contractions. My waters broke at 38.5 weeks, starting my labor (from 0cm), which clocked in at a little over 18 hours.

My second pregnancy (boy) was much rougher. I knew I was pregnant right away because I was throwing up so much, day and night. I lost 10 lbs. during the first trimester and didn't stop with the MS until around 20 weeks. No carpal tunnel that time. I still loved the feeling of having my baby moving around inside me. DS wasn't quite as active, but he was a heavy hitter. He went posterior for a few days in the last month of pregnancy and nearly split the skin around my bellybutton. I don't think his head fully engaged until the day I went into labor. I had 3 weeks of prodomal labor followed by 9 hours of The Real Thing, starting from 5cm, with my waters staying intact until three pushes from the end.

Mine were all pretty similar except for the twins - similar but much, much harder (more painful) plus heartburn which I'd never had before (or since, thankfully!).

My 3 have been pretty different. All were relatively complication-free, but got harder with each one. This last one particularly was more difficult from earlier on and stayed hard... first m/s that just wouldnt let up, and then straight into horrible heartburn and backache that wouldn't quit. I hated it the entire time, while in comparison my first was quite easy and I loved being pregnant, and my middle one fell, well, in the middle. I had a good honeymoon trimester with that one.

All the births were very different too.

I only have one child but this is my 4th pregnancy. All of them have been the same so far, with the severe morning sickness. It sucks.

I have had two pregnancies.

#1 was pretty smooth going. I had an irritable uterus and that gave me a few days of bedrest. Except for m/s and PUPPS near the end it went really well.

#2 started out the same way but had preterm labor at 23 weeks and constant cx from them until the end of the pg (full term). I progressed to 4 cm before I went into labor.

Both births were great-- relatively fast and smooth sailing.

I am currently pg with my third child and I can tell you they have all been very different!

#1: Didn't know I was pg until I had missed my moon and still wasn't sure until the pg test was positive. Almost no morning sickness--especially after I quit taking the prenatal vitamins. I gained 15 lbs with her. No blood pressure problems, a little water retention--not too bad. No heartburn that I can remember, but I did have a lot of leg cramps. No BH contractions. I felt great during this pregnancy and was still very active. I don't remember being too tired, but I was a grouch and would speak my mind--which is something I almost never do

#2: Knew I was pg from symptoms, breast tenderness and crampy feeling with no moon--took pg test knowing results before looking. Lost 20lbs because of horrible morning/all day sickness--couldn't even drink water without throwing up. Again I gained about 15 lbs. No blood pressure problems, little water retention. Horrible heartburn but no leg cramps. A couple BH contractions. Not as moody as with DD. I was a little more tired this time around, but still felt pretty good most of the time. I loved taking daily walks up to the time of the birth.

#3: Pretty much knew I was pg on the day of conception--had a "weird" feeling. Lost another 20lbs because of morning sickness, have gained back almost all of it. Slight blood pressure rise, major water retention, horrible heartburn, and some leg cramping. Major BH contractions--everytime I stand, nurse DS, have a busy day, etc. . . I am super tired this time, I think I could stay in bed all day if I had the time. Majorly grouchy!! This was not a planned pregnancy and often I think WTF am I doing pg again. This has not been a pleasant pregnancy for me, I'm somewhat glad DH and I have decided this will be our last. Perhaps this is also why this pg has been so hard?? Of course it could be that I have a 5 year old and 2 year old as well?

#1 and 2 were easy. I was 15/16 and 17/18 and I just sailed through both. With my 3rd pregnancy that I lost, those 8 weeks were wonderful, I felt great. I was 24. No idea why. Then for my 4th and 5th, things were a lot harder. High blood pressure, lots of migraines, back labor from hell..... I was 24/25 and 26/27. My body has told me I'm definitely done. I still have high blood pressure from #5.

6 pregnancies, all very similar except I had bleeding and spotting with this one.
