i thought i had spent the last 6 months while we TTC thinking about all this -- but jsut today -- wow even more
  • where to keep and access two full sets of cloth diapers
  • the dresser for the baby is smaller than T's -- will it be big enough
  • what to do with stuff they "share" (granted T doesn't use some of it much, but wet pads and so on...)
  • What to put on my to buy list? (a 2nd sling, a pack and play for safty downstairs if i need to put babe where 2 yo can grab it....)
  • i have got to get in gear and find a monther's helper or something -- i am going to need help with T when i have to go to doc and stuff.......

and i sure in 5 minutes i will think of more.......

what is popping into YOUR minds...........

LOL Yet ANOTHER thing to think about! Nursing-Maternity clothes! LOL

James was born at the end of January, so I was 'big' in November-December-January...so I needed WARM stuff, this time it'll be August-September-October...so I'll need summer stuff and maybe some fall stuff. LOL, thankfully I have some 3/4 sleeves and long sleeve stuff from James, just need summer stuff. The first part of September tends to be pretty warm in Iowa...70's at least...

Yikes...

I need to get rid of my too small minivan and go get a 12 seater passenger van. WooHoo!! HAHAHA

Need to order some Glamourmom maternity nursing tanks.

I have tons of cloth dipes still, but may make some more. There's really not much that I need to get for the baby. BUT...I do want to study hypnobirthing this time for pain management. And,I need to get the referral to a massage therapist from my chiro, buy some additional items for my birthkit..............ok....so just a few little things. I will likely think of more.

Luckily we bought a huge house a little over a year ago, so I have plenty of space for this new bundle of cuteness!!

The main things I've been thinking about is the logistics of what to do with ds when we go into labor and starting up a nb and small diaper stash. I didn't start cding ds until he was 5 mths old and into med's, so I am starting off from scratch. I have a lot of stalking to do!

Right now, I'm not even worrying about any of that yet. I just got my BFP after a faint one on Thursday so right now I'm taking in one day at a time and am enjoying it. Occasionally I'm wondering if I'll really be able to handle one more without totally stressing, but worrying about it isn't going to help, so I put it out of my mind and enjoy the blessing I've been given.

Kony! I'm thinking of hypnobirthing this time too!! I had an epi and induced last time.

See. what am I thinking about... oh crap besides I forgot to put in dinner!!! YIKES

- Cloth diapers for this one, thankgoodness we are almost diaper free with DD right now, she is almost. there. i. can. see. the. finish.

- What to do What to do... should we get a big girl bed for DD or just buy another crib??? Well we have time for that one.

-need a dresser, we will ahve to put our office in my bedroom ( no computer then by the play room how will I survive?????!!!!

- I want another sling darn it!! I actually want a pouch and a mei tei and I nee dto come up with ways to convince DH that its a needed not a wanted thing, we already ahve a ring sling.

- Oh yeah... stroller shoppig again!!!

-oh did I tell you how much I love the look of newborn cloth diapers!!! And I need to find someone who can sew near me to make me some!

- I need to start to figure out how to knit a soaker, I'm only really an advanced beginner with knitting if that!
Oh - that reminds me. I really need to find my hypnobirthing book. OR maybe I just have to buy another one. I think I'm in a much better frame of mind about delivery - last time I was just expecting and anticipating a lot of pain from the beginning and I didn't have drugs, but it wasn't my best labor (fastest, but not handled the best). I feel like I can do better this time. I guess I just feel like if I make it to that point, I'll endure anything to be able to hold a healthy newborn again.

I'm excited about possibly being able to use my sling again! I never had one until DS was 1 year old. Then I wished I'd had one with my babies when they were younger. Hopefully I get that chance.

I'm really excited about having a sling-ling too! And about the day I can introduce my DD to her new sibling, and to smell that baby smell, and so many things!

I also have a ton to think about. We also will need another vehicle. I just bought a house in April that seems a lot smaller when I think about it with another person in it. I want to be able to quit my job and not go back after my maternity leave. Can I do that? I need a new care provider...I saw an OB last time and he has since left practice. : :

I guess we all have plenty of time to work it out.

Sadly, most of my first thoughts have seemed selfish. I've spent the last 6 weeks changing my diet and excerise routines, and have lost a bit of weight, I had really been looking forward to finally feeling healthy and being comfortable with my weight. Though I can still eat healthy of course, I now am not sure how much I'm going to give up my yoga, I was really enjoying the dvd I've been doing, but I'm pretty sure a lot of it will be nonos now.

Also, we had just decided not to move, that we'd wait one more year squished into this house to clean up some old bills and build a better savings to try to buy. But that can't wait now, we're already really tight.

I'm so glad that we got the van we did a couple months ago, and we definately need to sell our neon, since 6 won't fit (unless we use the trunk ).

My dh had a drs appt for a test today that was really worrysom (turned out all was ok, but that wasn't till after 5). So I just went between worrying about him, and about OMG, what am I going to do. After his appt, I realized that neither of us had really reacted yet, just panicked, so we started talking and I think its getting real now. I liked a couple houses in our price range, so we are going to check into more info on those. And I am going to keep eating healthy, though obvoiusly not restricting my calories and just take it easy with my excersizes. One cool thing, I casually mentioned to dh that I might not go to the same midwife, and he assumed I meant homebirth so guess he's ok with that. In fact, he assumed it just meant him catching, no midwife, but we do have one locally. His only concern was if insurance helped, which I think we'll be ok on.

So after all that, my biggest worry still left is sleep. My 3 year is currently having sleep issues. And my 18 m old is still iffy, more nights than not I'm up with him, some times more than I sleep, so this is a problem. In fact, the other night I didn't even get to bed till after 3. But we can work on this, we have a while.

Mostly just what I'm going to make. i want to make some cocoons and some sleep sacks.

I am a NINO leader so I have the babywearing covered. I am a bit carrier obsessed and own about 15 diffrent carriers( amd that's mild compared to some) that DS doesn't let me put him in. sometimes he will let me sling him to go in the grocery store.

I was lucky enough to get a whole stash of newborn WAHM fitteds passed down from a Ap momma friend. i didn't start CDing DS until 4 mo and by then he was 20lbs so I moved him right into largge FB's. when I find out the gender I am going to make some cute minkie and fleece covers.

I am also going to make some fleece pants and matching onesies since he/she will be born in Nov. also some burp rags. I am really looking forward to nesting.

Oh we also need another dresser but I'm going to get one to match Ds's since all their stuff will be in the same room.

We are a co-sleeping family and have mesh side rails on our bed but I bought a Amby baby last year someone was selling for $50. and since it was a good deal I couldn't turn it down. He/she might sleep there too but most of the time will be wrapped onto me for the better part of the day.

ok ladies................

it has been a few weeks..............

whatelse have you thought of

so much to think about

there is a lot if want to get done

-- t's photo ablums CURRENT to his 2nd birthday and baby book

-- all kitchen and bath cabnets torn apart, cleaned and redone in some kind of orginzied fasion (never happend we moved in as we were building)

-- get all my clothing out of the dresser in the guest room / will-be-nusery so that that dresser can be the baby's.

there is a lot I have to figure out

-- where to move baby blankets out of bottom drawer of changing table as i will need two drawers for diapers now -- small and med. Maybe the balanket chest (I know what an idea) but it is full, so some sheets are gona have to go to good will

i have a lot i want get rid of -- good will here i come -- sheets, dishes that don't match, pots and pans.....clean out the house.....

there is so much to do in regard to Theo too

-- babaysitter for appts

-- babysitter in general

-- who will he be with when i am in labor / in the hosptial

-- get him reeady for our first night apart.

-- get him used to daddy at bed time-- get dadddy willing to play through the pain to get there.

come on mommas what am i forgetting

My main concern right now is finding a midwife. They are all so busy and because my LMP was Jan 9th they all think I'm due in October even though that is soooo wrong. And they're all full for October. So I'm stressed a bit about trying to find one so we can have our home birth. Although DH did say today that we would do a UC if we couldn't find a MW . I think he was kidding but he may go for it.

Aside from that, we really want to get the yard in order this year - put up fences in the front and side and possibly trade the garage in for a carport/screened in porch area. Also DH is looking at getting a minivan

And getting DD's scrapbook up to date would be nice (so far she's only 5 months old in it).

I have so many valid concerns at this point I can't even begin to lsit them.. I am jsut shutting ALL that out of my mind and taking this one day at at time.

we are starting ALL over again so teh ONLY thing we have still is a crib and one larger umbrella stroller and a KEttler trike.. that's it,

funny with ten yrs between my boys I was starting NEW with Evan and here I am again.. like three first timers!! funny
