If you did barter with your mws

What kind of stuff did you do? We had a fender bender today and our car is so old it's probably cheaper to get anothe one, but either way it's money we weren't exactly expecting to spend. Mw fee is $4000, of which we've only paid $500 I think so far. I just want to get an idea of what we might offer, especially as we're kind of strapped for time as well, with 2 little ones already, one with special needs.

We are doing an even exchange with our mws. They charge $3000 for everything and we are making them a business website in exchange for their services. They have zero presence online at this time and decided it would be good for business to make themselves more known in that way. So, dh and his friend (who is a web designer/creator) are creating the site for them, writing all the html, etc. I am helping with design ideas. Our friend has also generously offered to host and service the website on his server for the remainder of the year.

Well, not the midwife, but we painted the outside of our doula's house for her services.

my dh was planning on doing garden work for her b/c she needed a spot tilled up (and we have a tiller). do you garden? you could barter with some veggies. the painting was a good idea...how about something related to that (house maintenance or care?)

Here's the stuff I am currently willing to barter for: secretarial/website work, household projects (I have many, and have many amish/mennonite clients whose husbands do the work) like putting up a new fence, new brick mailbox, help with addition and deck in the back yard, painting, etc. I would love a big quilt with all our pictures on it to hang on wall. Someone to take all my photos and put them in scrapbooks for me. Babysitting. Tutoring. Would trade for anything my kids wants to do. Anyone who gives lessons for things like musical instruments, spinning, etc. Car maintenance, work, cleaning, etc. Computer work, maintenance, etc. We had a tenant who owned a computer repair store and we both got great deals, he traded for rent and I got customized computers, tutoring, free repairs, etc.

Hey, I'm flexible.
