Excluding the music from "Jack's Big Music Show", lol, I have been listening to "Freedom's Road" by Mellencamp (his new album), Radio Paradise ( http://www.radioparadise.com ), and the adult alternative channel on MusicChoice (Cable TV).

Wings, Wingspan. So damn good. But what can I say? I was born in the 70s.

Patty Griffin, Children Running Through. Didn't know until just the other day that she had a new one out. Lurve my Patty. Flaming Red is still the best album, though.

Beatles, White Album. Duh. (Well, and the fact that we have a tradition of playing Birthday in the AM of anyone's birthday--mine, SO's, or DC's.)

I have my iPod on at almost all times.

In heavy rotation, I have:

Patty Griffin (I'm a fan of "The Impossible Dream" album")
Indigo Girls
Jason Mraz
Sugarland (Jennifer is a friend)
The Jennifer Nettles Band (before she joined Sugarland)
Elton John

As soon as my husband gets home with the bank card, I'm ordering Justin Timberlake's newest album from Amazon. For some reason, I can't get enough of him lately. It's SO weird.

Right now I've got "Hope There's Someone" by Antony and the Johnsons playing. I am such a sap and can't help crying everytime I listen to it. It and Kate Bush's "This Woman's Work" get me everytime.

She does have an amazing voice, and is just about one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet.

We are lucky, I say, because we "knew her back when"...and were able to cultivate a friendship with her when she was playing small bars back in the mid-90's, grabbing meals where they were cheap and singing her heart out.

She hasn't always been a country singer, and I miss her old style a lot, but I love Sugarland, too.
