How not to be frugal...

... Buy shampoo and conditioner that have very similar looking bottles, and EVERY SINGLE MORNING while you are groggy in the shower without your glasses on, get a blob of conditioner on your hands when you really need shampoo, and then try not to let the conditioner wash away while you are shampooing, and consider whether in light of these circumstances it is really worth paying for the hippie organic conditioner in the first place.

Btdt

That is precisely the reason I gave up conditioner in favour of after-shower detangling spray.

i use a shampoo/cinditioner combo.

That is hilarious!
I keep my shampoo and conditioner on separate sides of the shower to avoid confusion.

I ran out of conditioner a couple months back.

It's okay to condition your hair before you wash it instead of the other way around, if your hair is in reasonably good shape.

The frugal thing to do would be to get lasik surgery to prevent this. $0.05 of conditioner wasted every day, $1500 in lasik surgery, pays for itself in 82 years!!!

Of course then your husband could argue that you only need one eye done to determine which is the conditioner....

J/K!

Actually using conditioner before you shampoo is good for your hair. Not frugal by any means, but not bad either!

Do you own a Sharpie?

Try this: Rub conditioner into your hair well, shower as usual. Just before you finish, wet hair again with a small amount of water. Rub conditioner that's still in your hair to a lather (it will!). Rinse well, don't shampoo.

You won't believe how great your hair feels, mine is NEVER greasy now and it used to get greasy all the time!

Red, I might try that conditioner-only thing. Anything is worth a try, my hair is driving me crazy right now.

I do the conditioner only thing. I try to wash my hair only 2-3x a week. It's wroking well in the winter, but it didn't do so well in the summer.

That's awesome! My kind of logic!

I may be known to have done the same thing on too many occasions!
