Dd LOVES dairy products. If we let her, that is all she would eat all day, and as it is she still eats a fair amount (she also still breastfeeds a lot). She especially loves cheese and yogurt in all forms. She is 22 months old. Since January, she has had 4 different colds, the latest of which resulted in a painful ear infection and ruptured eardrum. It should be said that my partner & I have also caught at least 3 of these colds, so there is a lot going around. She had an ear infection in Dec. as well for which we gave her antibiotics (after much deliberation). She has had at least 2 other ear infections in her young life as far as I can tell, though none officially diagnosed, and no abx. In the fall, she wasn’t sick very much, maybe 2X in a 4 month period.
So that’s our story. Do you think all this recent illness could be allergy related? Or is it just normal colds? She’s also seemed crankier than usual lately, but that could just be approaching two, or lots of teething… I don’t want to miss something obvious, but I don’t want to eliminate a major dietary staple for no reason either, yk? She has been eating lots of dairy ever since she started on solids, so about 10 months (she didn't really eat solids until 1 year).
Any thoughts?
