Kris is 5 days old and ive never been more energetic in my life. I get maybe 4 hours of sleep a day, nursing every 3 to 4 hours. I have been doing so much house work. We got the whole apartment finally moved out and everything is into the house now. Ive been unpacking and all sorts of stuff. I figured i was suposed to be run down and dead tired with a newborn but i feel great, Im not even in that much pain anymore. I really cant believe this is normal, anyone else been like this with previous babies? Im starting to think im not very normal.

Congrats on the new baby Kristopher!
:
I am in Michigan, too, by the way.
With my third birth, I felt great after. Well, immediately after, I was lightheaded from the loss of blood, but soon after, just GREAT! I wanted to go home, do things... I took all three kids out (I had a just-2-year-old and a just-4-year-old also) to the mall within the first week. Everyone thought I was nuts! My only problem was when my milk came in - engorgement + big boobs = HUGE BOOBS & Miserable Mom! Once that settled down, no problems.
Good for you ! I assume this is your first? Enjoy! I remember holding my youngest and looking at him- holding him up in a "standing" position over his changing table, so he'd "walk"- scrunching up his little face.... trying to burn the memory of his newborn-ness into my brain. He's now 5 1/2.

hehe lots of adrenaline for you to run on-you are on a natural high that comes with birthing and meeting your new baby!
just be careful, lots of new mommies overdo it and then its much harder to get back to "normal" (is there such a thing anymore?)
but its awesome that you feel so good!!!

just wanted to agree with the others. I feel great and I want to clean my house but my mws were very adamant about not doing anything the first week -- they said overdoing it the first week can lead to fatigue in later weeks... enjoy some down time with your precious new boy!

The PP's all have a good point, enjoy the energy you have, but pace yourself, the high doesn't last forever.
