Weaning from the little potty

my dd (9 mo.) does really well with EC'ing while we're at home, but I struggle when we're out and about because she doesn't love going in other places. Well, not so much the place, but in something other than her potty. Although we use the psst cue, she doesn't go right away, she seems to need to relax first and being on her potty is just as much of a cue as the noise. So when we go out and I try to put her over the sink/toilet/tub, etc., she doesn't usually go because she doesn't have her little comfy potty Any suggestions, short of taking the potty everywhere we go! I'd really like to continue positive reinforcement by pottying everywhere and not just home/mom's house, etc.

we took the bblp everywherre with us till dd was 2 or so. just because it was so convenient for us. probably we could have transitioned earlier by carrying a seat insert instead.
