for my perineum. I was pretty amused to be choosing olive oil for that reason at Target today. LOL I cant wait to have this baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I Know!! Its so exciting. We are going to finish up our shopping soon. People ask what I need for the baby and they always seem alittle suprised when I say "vinyl back table clothes and a couple large trash cans"

You just reminded me that I need to get some too. I have some in the pantry but I want a brand new bottle. I don't use it for my perineum as I am a waterbirther but I use it on the baby's bum so keep the meconium from sticking to their sweet, delicate skin

As soon as I go into labor, I usually go to my kitchen and fill a peri bottle with olive oil. It's a ritual now. What isn't used on my perinum, gets put on my baby's bottom. It's great for diaper changes and delicate skin.

I know that a new bottle would be best for the birth, but does it have to be new for peri massage?

I currently have 50 gallons in my garage and would love to be able to get rid of some.

When I first started attending births I could not stop associating olive oil with crowning heads. I would be eating pasta and picturing an emerging head, lol. 5 years later the smell of olive oil and birth are forever intertwined.
