Phoebe's sick

Phoebe woke up this morning with an eye infection in both eye and she's all stuffy and sneezy. The poor girl is only 9 days old. I think that she got the cold from me, since I had a slight cough left when I delivered her. I feel so bad....

Meridian got sick at 1 week and none of the rest of us were sick! Are you sure she doesn't just have an eye cold in her eyes? Liam would always get those as a baby. I would just keep them clean with chamomile tea or just plain water. I bet you could use breastmilk too! I squirted breastmilk up Meridian's nose to help loosen the mucous before I suctioned her. Poor babies!

Sorry I didn't update before now, things just got a little crazy around here. Phoebe's eye infection is slowly going away. The midwive came over and put some ointment into it and I have been putting breast milk in it. I've also been putting breastmilk in her nose to dry up the snot. I'm really hoping that this goes away soon and she doesn't develope an ear infection like dd did when she had it.

Oh poor babe! You could put the BM in her ear just to make sure it doesn't go there...shouldn't hurt. Hope she feels better soon!

Yah, I'm going to start doing that today and I plan on using some Mullein Garlic drops too. I REALLY do not want to use antibiotics especially not on a babe this small
