In need of a plain wooden keepsake box

Hi - I am looking for a plain wooden box. My sis is preggy and I want to create a beautiful keepsake (painted and possible decopage). I need a plain wooden box to start. I searched online and cant seem to find what I am looking for. Thanks!

Well, I don't know how big you want it but have you looked at recipe boxes? There are some that are 3 x 5 and some that are 5 x 8.

Also if you search for Decoupage boxes (which are really dense cardboard) you might be able to find some that are a good size.

The last time I was there, Micheal's Crafts had both of those.
