I'd be really interested in seeing a sticky with this. I've seen threads about this pop up from time to time. I find other people's blogs about unschooling and homeschooling to be very inspirational.
Well, I thought it would be nice to have a sticky at the top of the Learning at Home forum. People could put their blog link up if they want. We could have a whole list. It would be nice for people who just started homeschooling to look at blogs and see what daily life is life. It would be good for people like me, who just get inspired by what other people are doing.
I'd love that as well! I've been writing favorite website in a notebook, and it would be nice to just fid them all here....
In the meantime, did you know you can easily bookmark them in your browser - and in some browsers, they can even be categorized. In my "Bookmarks," called "Favorites" in some browsers, I have a few dozen subjects. So each time I see a page I want to bookmark, I just click on a little + sign up by the web address in my Safari browser. With the Foxfire browser, you go up to the word "Bookmark," and a little drop down menu comes down that let's you choose "Bookmark this page." Maybe you know all this and I misunderstood - but it's amazing how much I didn't know for a long time. It was years before I realized you could have more than one web page open at the same time! Never even occurred to me... - Lillian
But that means we get a favorite books sticky too...
The thing is that people are often asking about favorite homeschooling books, but there are fewer and fewer responses to that question each time - because, I think, people get tired of posting their favorites. It requires some effort to look up the proper titles and author name spellings and such - and then go about describing what they liked and didn't like about it. But a thread where people could do it once and have it done with - that would be very helpful... Lillian
I would love a blogs sticky! I wanted to show my aunt a great project I'd seen on one the other day when I was at my parent's house- I spent half an hour digging through posts to find the person I was thinking of.
