my 12 year old has grown up happily playing video games. he watches tv too... we tend to stick to animal planet and the discovery channel and we watch toonami together on cartoon network on saturday night. i dont have a problem with tv OR video games. all things in moderation.
i am fairly strict about what kind of games we can have in the house though. no first person shooting games, no war games, no bloody games, no grand theft auto type games. we tend to stick to puzzle games and RPGS. (i dont mind if hes blowing up monsters with magic spells but i dont want him blowing up real looking people with real looking weaponry. i DO think those kinds of games are harmful and desensitize people to violence)
