I don't want to be cranky. And honestly I love everything about my neighborhood. . .but I'm going to have to kill the one teenage boy how lives 3 down and across the street. He comes home from school and plays is "music" so incredibly loud that I can here the bass all the way at my house. . in my house. I don't here trucks going by but I can hear his noise.

It drives me nuts.

Vent over.

I'm sorry that your space is being polluted with his noise.

But I have to say that this is of the best thread titles ever!

Would you prefer the teenager or a family two houses down who have a dog that they let out at 6 in the morning to bark incessantly until they join said dog, "working on" their cars at about 7 in the morning with the "system" (which is more like a tin can or two) blasting and rattling the windows of their house, my house, and the car?

This is so funny. I went to bed late last nite, and then spent all night yelling out the window at the dogs to shut up. They literally bark for a whole hour at a time. At least the neighbors kids across the street only have their music loud during the day.
It is still a pain because they drive back and forth with te car music really loud, and you know how they are with their sounds, the bass is SOOO loud my computer, wall, and floor vibrate the whole time their music is on.

I tried taking a nap yesterday afternoon and the dogs kept at it then too.
I have two dogs and they never join in with the nighborhood dogs. there I about 12 dogs that bark constantly, and the owners just sleep right through it! how!? its crazy.

He's really a pretty good kid. . a little weird. . but then what 17 year old boy isn't. I can tolerate all kinds of noise, but hearing music (and really what he plays is hardly music. . it's like strange techno rave sort of stuff) with the bass up high drives me batty.

I'm sure many of the neighbors bitch about our barking dog. . who I'll be the first to admit is a pain in the a$$.

That's why I have cats. Granted, they actually go INTO other people's houses sometimes, but they're quiet!!!

Chai and Cereal. Have I shared?

I've got a cat too. . wish I didn't. Not a huge fan of the neighborhood cats either who like to use my raised garden beds as litter boxes. : Didn't have any problem with wildlife getting into the garden last year. . but had to build cages to keep the da^n cats out.

I use to have a cat that looks like the one on the left. . Chai? She was so sweet. A little daft but sweet none-the-less

My cat left the day I knew I was pregnant. Go figure.

I got two doggies, and I think the only thing we do that the neighbors don't appreciate is, humm start out car. It makes this really loud screeching noise, of course there is another 2 cars on this street that make the same noise.

here is my doggies. they are quiet.

Oh missy, the bigger one, does hop the fence into the nieghbors yard. but their dog, princess, goes into everyones yard. so what missy does, hops into their yard, then they BOTH go out of that yard and go cruising down the street making the other dogs bark, dogs around here bark at a plastic bag floating down the road, seriously, no kidding.

Bemommy, does it bother you a lot? the music? I would maybe ask nicely maybe they don't realize how loud it is. Maybe bring in concern about baby waking up? I know I asked bf to speak to neighbor about them turning volume down when they drive up the street. I am also going to check on the noise ordinance.

Shana, are your cats related? they look alike except the coloring and patches!

I bet my cat wishes she'd left the day I found out that I was pregnant. DD is four and the cat still isn't over her birth.

A lot. . no. It's usually only for about an hour or so (I think until his mom comes home and tells him to turn it down) It's more that the music is so bad. . not that it's so loud. He's a teenager. . he's suppose to listen to his music loud. I figure I don't have much longer to deal with it. He works a lot during the summer and I'm guessing he'll be going to college next year.

I just wanted something to bitch about And at that moment he was an easy target. :

Chai and Cereal.
I love their names!

We live between an apartment complex and a main road and get TONS of traffic with the loud music. What is the obsession with playing music so loud it rattles the car and/or everything else around it? :

Nope they're not related at all! Chai is a little over a year old (yes, the one on the left) and Creeal is 7 now My little best friend... she's been with me through EVERYTHING.

Daft is a good way to describe Chai... Hmmm..
