Welcome to the support thread for those of us who've been trying for a little bit longer than the average bear.
The 6-12 month mark in TTC seems especially tough because it's been longer than a lot of people
but not quite long enough to qualify for the next level of treatment/approach.
(Note that some of us have been trying for 12+, but we're taking our time and sticking with this thread for a bit!)

We would love to talk with others who are at similar places in

Well, nothing new for me. I'm kind of worried...it's only CD 11 or 12 or whatever the heck it is.....but I noticed I don't have ANY cm at all!!! It's driving me nuts!!! I'm kind of thinking it might turn out to be my another 80+ days cycle OMG............................this is exactly what happened in February last year....I hope it doesn't repeat though!!!!

Okay, Question- Does anyone here use the Clear Blue Fertility monitor??? It's expensive but I heard it's really good! After almost a year (will be soon in May for me!BLEH) I think, it's about time I buy that specially since I've never ending long cycles!! Just wondering if anyone is using that?

umm..what about Pre Seed? Anyone use that here? I have heard good things about it too! Since this cycle I'm high and dry...I'm thinking may be it's about time I buy that too.....!! I feel like I'm an army getting ready with all weapons for my battle....

Oh, not to mention praying that this month we see a lots of BFP around here!!!!!!

Hi, I'm back from my 4 day hiatus from the computer. My friends left this morning and I'm so wiped out from 4 days of touristy stuff. Plus I was up at 5:30 to drive them to the airport.

I am feeling really weird at 8dpo. I'm beginning to wonder if I really want another child...I know that sounds nuts. I was here with two toddlers some this week and it was HARD. I have a great life right now and can do so much so easily that I wonder about it.....deep down I feel that I'm not done having kids but I'm having conflicting feelings. Maybe it's the visit and exhaustion doing this. Plus I'm 8dpo and have no real signs of anything. Spending 4 days at theme parks can make it impossible to feel much of anything besides hot and tired: . I'm just really tired of this and feeling weird and I hope I'm preg now but if I'm not I might take a month or two off from trying. I'll quit planned sex and OPK's and probably be scarce around here. Next try would give us another Dec child and while there is nothing wrong with that, I still feel like everything is pointing me towards a little time off from the thinking part of ttc. I used all my OPK's this month and I'm not planning to buy any more. I really hope I'm just a tiny bit preg now and won't have to ever think about it again, but if not I will probably just relax for a month or maybe two as much as possible. We'll see what my Acu says Saturday.

So sorry to blab my story but I've been thinking about it alot for the past 24 hours or so. I missed talking to you guys this week. Maybe I'll chat more later on.

Tara - You're not the only one with the weird screen. It happened once before and luckily only lasted for a page so hopefully when we move onto page 2 we'll be all set...
I have heard in the past that moving from one child to two children is a large transition. Of course you will have 9 months to mentally adjust.

Noor - I have a Clear Plan Easy Fertility Monitor (basically the same as the Clear Blue - takes the same test sticks). It's okay. I got it about a year into trying. So I already knew quite a bit about my cycle. I don't really like that it gives me a bunch of days of high fertility and then I typically get a peak reading the day I O - not much notice. I've actually been contemplating selling it off...
I've also used Preseed. It feels fine but I'm not preg yet.

angel - You're right - we are definitely due for a round of BFPs!

As for me - My temp was up this morning. 98.0 so I think I did O yesterday. It's possible that there could have been some swimmers still hanging around from Saturday. :

Hey ladies! So I have officially decided to take a break from the boards. As much as I love having the support it also makes me a bit obsessive about it. I went to my doctor today and we decided to postpone the clomid and we're going to try accupuncture. I am going to try the saying that we all hate to hear, Just relax and it will happen!

Just popping in to say 'hey'! I've been taking a few days of 'me time' to clear my head and relax. I think I've put over 200 miles on my motorcycle in the past couple of days just cruising around town. I feel much better now.

We just started using pre-seed, and we love it! TMI alert!!!!

We've been inserting some before bd, and putting some on him as well. Also, after, we put in my diaphragm to hold everything closer to the cervix... I know... we're over-doing it a bit... but what if it works?!?! :

Blabbing your story is why we're here! I too am worried that the reason I've had difficulty getting pg is b/c, on some unconsious level, I don't want to be. That is why I have my first hypno-fertility appointment tonight... I want to make sure I am not allowing my mind to tell my body to malfunction!

I use the CBFM. It works great, but it could get kinda expensive for you to use if you have super long cycles and don't ovulate for a long time. A box of test sticks for it is about $50. A box contains 30 sticks which is supposed to be three cycles. If you don't get a LH surge during the ten sticks, then you are supposed to use another 10 sticks. You can buy one off of ebay, brand new for about $100. That's where I got mine from. You could also get a used one if you wanted. They tell you not to use a used one, but there is a way to reset the monitor if you get a used one. So, if you go this route, just lmk and I'll pm you how to reset it (it's not in the manual and if you call the customer service number and tell them it was previously used by someone else, they won't tell you how to reset it).

Hey Tara, Just wanted to pop in and say that I had a glimmer of that feeling too. We saw some friends and their 3 week old yesterday (which was completely fine, partly because they'd tried a long time and succeeded with IUI). But the baby was fussy and they were exhausted and I thought "OMG, are we sure we want to do this again?" Like you, I know I do but I think ambivalence is normal too especially when we're tired and worn down... Whatever you decide about a break, hope it brings you peace! And maybe this current cycle is the surprise "it"!
