Newbie

Hi all I am comming over from The One Thread. Dh and I have been ttc # 2 since 6/2006. I have recently been diagnosed with PCOS. We are starting 50mg of clomid this cycle and hopeing for the best. If we do get preggo this month the due date would be 5 days away from dd bday but its ok I wouldnt be complaining. I hope to get some extra support from the wonderful ladies on this thread because lately this whole thing seems to be getting harder than before! Good luck and dust to everyone.

eh we don't think the dose is the problem. Talked to my doc, and now I'm kicking my butt for not using the prometrium instead of the natural prog i'm using now. We'll see what my levels are tomorrow from the prog test, but it's possible that i have a rare lp condition where the problem isn't with the follicular phase, but rather the lp(usually lp problems are due to issues before O). Which would explain why with the chemical in jan I was spotting with a prog level of 15. I have an appt with him friday to discuss next steps, but we're leaning towards 100mg clomid, plus prometrium next month, and probably some u/s to check things. Damn.

ps, welcome devonn! You'll like it here.

Jill, sorry to hear about the problems. Hopefully your doctor will have the advice you need. I'll keeep you in my thoughts.

Nothing new here-still waiting to O-probably in about 10 days. Ho hum.

Nicole---we can be sorta cycle buddies....I'm not quite 10 days from O, but close. Sadly, if I really am that far off, we'll miss it again. I am so frustrated that we keep missing it. I feel like we SAY we're trying, but we're not really trying, y'know??

No personals yet... I've been so busy I haven't been able to check in. Monday I was stuck away from a computer all day at work, then had the orientation for my puppy, Benny's training class until late. Yesterday I had an all-day meeting/presentation in Maryland, bleh. I'm glad to have a nice mellow day ahead of me today where I can work from home and walk the dogs in the nice spring weather. I could use the stress relief! :
I'm so confused by the o day on my chart. If I discard my cd14 temp (as I have right now), FF sets o day as cd12. If I put the temp back in, it sets cd14 as o day. Which do you think I should go by?

I had some bad stomach unpleasentries that messed up my attempt to poas. I barely managed enough pee after the "episode" to register on the test. And, of course, it was bfn. I didn't bother charting it. I have no idea why I got sick.

I need to go back and read so I can do personals...

steph.. to me... the non-chart-expert.. it looks like cd 12.. concidering the temp, cm and pain... but thats just my oppinion... .. I hope you feel better.. we miss you

I like the idea of the 14th being your O day, but either way your chart looks so pretty :

Yay-a cycle buddy! I'm debating on whether or not to use the OPKs this cycle. I put them away after the holidays in order to squash my obsessiveness, but I might bring them back out again. Still deciding, I guess. DH and I are still in the "homecoming honeymoon" phase, so I'm sure we'll have lots of attempts this cycle.

stephanie, i'd guess cd 12 too. I'd had a few times where the fertile cm extended in to the lp. Good luck! I could only DREAM of a chart like yours.

My temp went back up this morning, but i bet it's because I doubled up on my progesterone when I started spotting. Still spotting steadily too. Kind of a maroonish, like usual. I *hopefully* get my prog test results today.

Welcome to hlnmommy! I think we were in the TOT together a while back.... Hope you won't be here long for good reason.

punquin - tough call on O date. I like the temp jump from CD12 to CD13 but you had fertile CM through CD14. Hmm...

That's really frustrating, Jill. I hope you and your doctor can figure it out for sure and you can get pg real soon.

My progesterone was 5.8. After doubling my clomid and adding progesterone. The naturopath had me start on thyroid meds on cd11, and said I'd be able to tell if I was getting too much based on the symptoms of hyperthyroidism. I haven't had any symptoms. So I called my ob(again, they must be annoyed!) and asked them to fax an order for a thyroid test to my local lab today, with the hopes the results will be in for my appt with him on friday. I told the tech to pray that the results were bad. She looked at me like I was crazy.

So basically, if it isn't my thyroid, I'm screwed. My problem isn't O'ing, its getting to implantation without having spotting. And there isn't a whole lot of treatment other than the clomid/prog route out there.
