How does your dc ask for bm?

I am curious......... I have heard some cute ways kiddo's ask for the breast.
I started with my ds calling it "milk" and using the sign. After spending time with my sis and his cousin, he started calling it "boo". or "booooo boooooo".

How does your DC ask?

My ds (23 months) says snack ("naaaaaaaak!" ) or slurp ("lurp")

He asks in non-verbal ways too, like trying to lift up my shirt. Night before last I was standing at the counter in the kitchen preparing supper and he came up behind me and started pulling me backwards by my pants.

I let him haul me around, just to see where he was taking me (I had an idea), and sure enough -- he pulled me all the way into the living room, over to the couch. Then he let go of me, bounced up onto the couch and hollered, "Snaaaaaaack!!!!"

Guess he didn't want to wait for supper to be ready.

my dd always did the sign (starting around 8 mo) and then when she could talk she would ask for "milkie" and when she wanted to switch sides she'd pop off and say "side?" so cute!

my ds created his own sign for it - a hybrid of the milk and more signs. that was at 9 months. he now does the sign and asks for "milka" and then does the sign for please and says "peeeese." and just in the last week or two, if i'm wearing a sweater he knows will be in his way, he touches the sweater and says "off!"

"Boobie"!!!! Oh, and yes--lifting up my shirt. Sometimes he gets mad when I pull my shirt down from the top instead of lifting it...or vice versa.

When my daughter was younger she would say 'nurse!', now she loudly proclaims 'I need nurse!' , it's pretty cute.

I used the word snack with both of my boys b/c I figured they would still be nursing once they could talk. Older son called it snack and when in the grocery store, no one thought a thing of him asking for a snack. (I know it's not a big deal if people hear nursing words, I just preferred a different word). My youngest son definitely made it his own. Snack soon became "iss" which evolved into "iss-iss" which then morphed into "ish-ish shide" because I would ask if he wanted to do the other side. No one on the outside of our life knows what he's talking about, but now my 5 y/o refers to it as that as well. "mom, I think he needs to do some ish-ish side to calm down." Pretty funny!

My youngest (22 months) says NURSE!! PEEEEEEEEEESE! with great urgency.
My middle son called it Nurse and my breasts were nippies.
My oldest son didn't nurse long enough to call it anything

DD will do our modified sign for "nurse" (her version looks like holding her thumb up as if to stick it in her mouth), or else she'll just say "nurse". Of course, now that she's more verbal, it's often "Nurse, please." or "I want nurse."

Usually he exclaims "BUBBAS" with great glee. My personal favorites, though, are the times when he sidles up to me and sniffs the air a few times. He looks at me out of the corner of his eye and says "do you know what I'm smelling"? I ask "what are you smelling"? "I'm smelling.... bubbas!!!"

DD is 18 months and very clearly shouts "NURSE!!!!!" even at night, in public, etc

this is sooo funny. my ds2, now 26 months said and did the same thing...well milkie actually sounded more like mildie. the best part is that now he speaks very clearly and asks for milkie...RIGHT NOW, with a gentle grab of the face so i will make eye contact with him. gotta love it

My 21 month old dd says "milk" and pats my chest. It comes out more like "mik" though.

My 23 mo (who hardly talks at all) says: yum yum! That's his general eating, nursing word. Alternatively, he'll bring me the pillow we normally put under his head while nursing.

ds signs milk - that's about it. sometimes he'll whine and I'll ask him if he wants milk, he'll calm down and nod his head! We' don't have any wierd name for it!!

Na-na, as in "Mommy na-na is soooo good!" or "You have na-na on your tummy!" My favorite is when he has a little conversation with himself as I'm untucking my shirt: "Would you like some na-na Jack? Yes please!"

we call it "mommy food" around here, so 21mo DS will say "ma food bed", or "ma food chair", or "ma food couch" depending on where he wants it. He's started calling it "moffy food" sometimes too. The boobies are "nursies" and he'll point them out every once in awhile.

My 20 month old makes a lip smacking, kissing noise and then follows me around. If I am sitting she will position herself, smack her lips and lift my shirt. All that kissing looks so cute!

How funny it is to hear the words or sounds other babies make!

We call it "milk" around here but it comes out as "nilk!"
