Get Paid To Thread for March - Page 8

I'm new at this, so forgive my ignorance. I've noticed that there are quite a few It's Your Opinion.com freebie offers. Can I do them all or only one?

Advice to Get Started?

Hi Mamas! Hope I can join in here. I am TOTALLY new to GPT but am ready to give it a go. I have been reading over your several threads trying to figure it all out and am very impressed. Seems like some of you are very savy at this. Wow! It still seems a little overwhelming to me, but I'm gonna give it a shot.

Does anyone have any recs on a good site or resources to check out that explains what I need to do to set myself up? From what I've figured out so far, I should have a separate phone number, at least one (or more?) email accounts, a pre-paid CC (where do I get this from?), a paypal account, and a good system for tracking everything. How do y'all keep notes and records? It seems like this is really important. Any specific site that you would recommend starting with - that would be easy and encouraging? Any other crucial things I should know at the get-go? I know most of you participating in this thread are really experienced. Thanks in advance for helping out a newbie.

I'm having trouble with the freebies (I haven't even tried the offers yet! ). I've had 5 out of 6 freebies denied on DBP. I'm using a Mac, so I'm wondering if that's part of the problem. Here's what I do:

I log into the GPT site and find the offer I want
I click on the freebie and then clear my cache (if I do it before clicking, I get logged out of the GPT site and can't bring up the freebie)
I do the address info and some of the survey (just click "no" to all of it--until I get to a page that wants me to sign up for something)
Then I go back to the GPT site and enter the email address and click "Submit"
But since I've cleared my cookies (and have no way to save certain ones without ccleaner), I have to log back into the GPT site, find the freebie again, and then enter the email address and hit "Submit" again.

As I said above, almost eveything has been denied. Any thoughts?

Thanks! Kelly

clearing the cookies BEFORE you do the offer is crucial. the whole point of cookies is to TRACK what your doing so when you clear them AFTER you click on the offer its clearing the tracking that they MUST have in order to give you credit. i know that its logging you out and I am not sure how other mac users are getting around this but at the very least go to the login page of the gpt site, clear cookies, then go to the offer. this will let only a FEW cookies be on your computer but still enough that tracking should work. if a mac user has a better idea then pipe up!!!

I'm on a Mac, too, and have a pretty good approval rate.

I clear my cookies, THEN log into DBP & click on the offer, then complete it. I leave the pages open for a minute or two, then clear my cookies and start over. (You will have to log into DBP again.)

Let me make sure I've got this right. After you complete the offer and leave your pages open for a minute, do you then enter your email on the GPT site / submit the offer before clearing cookies again?

Since those 5-6 freebies didn't track and were denied, does that mean I can complete them again? Probably not since the companies already have info from me, but I figure I'd ask!

Thanks for the clarification,

Yes, that's right. After completing the offer I submit my email on the GPT site right away. Then let everything sit for a minute or so, then clear cookies and start over.

DBP won't let you re-do an offer that didn't credit; it disappears from the list I believe.

Ok, I'm off to try again!

Thank you! Kelly

Sorry if this has been covered, but are there any GPT sites that Canadians can do? I have a couple of friends in Canada who are interested in GPTs but they said that they couldn't do the sites I told them about (Deal Barbie, Fusion Cash, and Cash Duck).

Subbing... another curious Canadian.

So I tried the offers on monsterpayscash for Today's Essentials and something else, can't remember off the top of my head. My debit card had been flagged as possbly fraudulent and several offers were declined. I got it all cleared up and tried to do the today's essentials and the other one. They were a few dollars each. My bank account has now been charged $19.95 for each of these. How ddi that happen and how can i fix it?

I have no idea what happened....I have done lots of the $1 trials for Shopping Essentials/Today's escapes, etc.I have never been overcharged by them tho, so I can't help with why it would happen. I think the first thing you need to do is call the company and talk to them.

I have a question on the DBP "email and zip submits" --

OK, I see that they are abour .40 ea. Now, when I do one that has, for example, a $500 Gift Card for _____ vs. _____, do you just get put into a drawing or something for the gift card? Also, on the DBP page, do you put in the same email addy with periods in it that you use to register when you choose one or the other?

TIA : This is my first time at DBP, I just started yesterday with MPC, and I haven't gotten an admin approval for the DBP forum yet so I can't ask there
post #157 of 211
Reuse ~ on the freebie offers... I'm not sure if you are put into a drawing. I don't know anyone who has ever won. The freebies are set up to get personal info (mainly emails) so they can be sold to 3rd parties. Don't expect to ever get anything from those freebies except for the earnings paid by the gpt site.

When submitting the offer on the gpt site you can type in the email you used for the offer (including the periods) or you can submit with just your username. I've always submitted mine with my username.

I need some clarification about doing offers twice. Obviously I wouldn't intentionally repeat or attempt to repeat an offer but if I did accidentally what would happen? I would never be able to use that site again??? What???

Also, how have you claimed your earnings on your taxes???
I'm sure all sites have specific rules and policies, but I have read that they are really cracking down on doing offers more then twice. Some have deleted accounts and taken all earnings that have been without prior notice. There is also a GPT alliance so maybe that could affect you on the different sites as well and not just on the site where you doubled the offer. It sounds pretty heavy to lose all the money you have maid for just doing an $11 dollar paying trial twice, but there has been problems with fraud, and so now there is zero tolerance. Some sites have also threatened with prosecuting by fining a certain amount. So all in all, keep very good records!!!

About the taxes, I'm pretty sure you put the earnings under misc. earnings. I have not done this for a full year so I haven't had to put them on yet, but I would think this is where the earnings would fall under.

You meant "more than once" right?

And yes gpt earnings falls under "misc earnings".
