39 - 1 trash bag full of broken toys, counting the million piece foam puzzle the cat chewed up as 30 or so.

2 more bags of toys marked for the sale, but I'll count those when they leave the house.

I threw out 4 count them FOUR mice from 'if you give a mouse a cookie' - ALL with their tails chewed off by my cat. I had no idea we had that many! My daughter noticed one in the trash and asked about it, but didn't seem concerned when I explained it was chewed and yucky.

I just got rid of 50 items from my basement! I still have a LONG way to go down there though! When I came home from work DD and DH were sleeping, so I quickly pumped, and got to work down there! We have been stocking up on non-perishable items for next year when income will be lean while I'm in school, now I have a place to put them since I cleaned off my shelves! YEA!!: I did try to go through my "wedding" box. It has a few keepsakes, but mostly left over decorations, ribbons, programs, material, etc from the wedding. I want to make a cute little shadow box out of some of the stuff, but I dont feel like I can throw anything out until I make it, so I can use whatever I want! I only got rid of a few things in there, SO I guess I need to go get a shadow box, so I can get rid of more!!

I've gotten rid of around 50 items the last couple of weeks. My parents came and visited us last week. My mom helped me get through a bunch of stuff. There's a couple smaller boxes DH needs to go through but all the other boxes are unpacked and gotten rid of.

I know i dropped out...been stressed! but I'm decluttering right now so here's my current count:

8 articles of *H*'s clothes (so far...stay tuned..he has a LOT of stuff...and its all going bye bye! along with him! (does he count as decluttering? ) ah well)

You know, I had been eyeing this thread for months kinda thinking - man what a waste of time to list and count everything, but now I'm seeing what a motivator it is for me to really GET it out o fthe house, since actually getting it to the charity or whatnot is my biggest hurdle right now!

I'm jumping in.

I tried to declutter a few times last year but just couldn't do it for whatever reason. Well, now I am pregnant with number 4 and we are hoping to move within the next year so purge purge purge! I don't have an exact count but -

I 've got 3 huge garbage bags of clothes and shoes ready to be picked up by the Red Cross tomorrow.

I gave away 2 boxes of children's books and have another box of books ready to go "somewhere".

I have one box of toys to donate.

I finally convinced DH to throw out 4 pairs of holey/broken shoes.

I threw out a bunch of junkie toys, torn and stained clothes, old socks and bras.

Got rid of tons of papers, still more to purge - I think I'm ready to throw out the old love letters from xfiancé .

There were several bags and boxes of stuff that DH had thrown in the storage room. I thought they were things that needed to be sorted and put away, so I had been avoiding them for weeks, if not months. Turns out it was the paper and plastic bags for recycling : They are now recycled!

21 articles of mine and the boys clothing for the garbage bin. (we use our clothes HARD all the clothes we don't want/wear anymore usually has at least holes in it and most often is stained beyond recognition...)

i freaking did it! whoo hoo! why didn't anyone tell me that, i would find sooooo much more stuff to get rid of after 1000? i thought it was going to be a struggle to toss 1000 things....it was on some of them but i was able to give away most to people that needed it! the joy of giving to me is so much better than the insanity of clutter! so for april my new goal is start at the back of the house and take it room by room for stuff we don't need...the whole house is going to get the top to bottem treatment! i just love mdc! thanks for all the support you guys give! y'all rock!

Woo Hoo! I told DH that next month's goal is going to be 2500 - because my mother's club sale is then and I'm getting rid of either to the sale or packed up for hand-me-downs to go to storage at my mother's house (she has lots of storage for hand-me-downs to my brother), so I plan to purge every single piece of clothing that does not fit my children from my house as well as tons of toys, etc.

Hmm... Haven't posted in a while. What have I done? Mommy brain - I can't even remember Dh took the kids to Yosemite today, they were gone 8 hours. I was a busy woman today! Got a ton of stuff done around here.

Dh has been getting into the act, too. He's (slowly) working on bringing order to his "shop", and has at least one garbage can filled up. Wahoo!

I've found that since I've stopped keeping count, I'm not really keeping track of what I've done, so I don't feel like I'm doing much. Next month, I will definitely keep count through the end. I know there's more stuff I've decluttered that I haven't listed here.

Yesterday I bought myself a new pair of pants, a sweater and a shirt. I'm pregnant and really did need these things. I guess I should go find 3 articles of clothing to donate? I wonder if DH would notice if I donated his clothes...

I started going through my filing cabinet. I already have a big pile of papers to get rid of, but I'm wondering what to do about the bank and credit card statements. How long should I be keeping these things? The cool thing is I found a savings bond that was given to me in 1995. Of course it has only accrued $57 in interest but at least I know I have it now, and in 20 more years maybe I will have another $100.
