High FSH and IVF Success?

The results of my 3 day labs indicated FSH 12 and estrogen 52. These are much higher than the results of my 3 day labs when we did IVF the first time in 2004. My RE seems to think we will get pregnant if we do IVF in the next cycle or two. Has anyone had a successful IVF cycle with such a high FSH? I am concerned about spending so much money on IVF if our chances of success aren't great. Our insurance doesn't cover anything so it's a lot of money to spend.

I don't have any experience to share but am curious what others say. My cd 3 fsh is 10 and we will be doing iui next cycle. I'd thought the RE might suggest moving ahead to ivf, but he didn't.

Many of the women on this board have done IVF (lots of success stories) with high FSH. It's a fast-moving board with extremely knowledgeable members and it's completely focused on high FSH issues. I recommend it to anyone here at MDC who mentions high FSH. I got a lot of good info from it when I was given the news that my FSH, like yours, was 12-ish.
