I'm not sure what forum to post this in.
My dd wants a cookbook for her 7th birthday.
She would particularly like one with a recipe for alphabet soup.
Does anyone know of a good one?

I really like Emeril Lagasse's There's a chef in my soup! It is basic enough for my older dd's 9,7 to do most of the things independently. He does sometimes get a little heavy with the sugar, butter and salt, but substitutions were easy and a great discussion point.

Molly Katzen has done several cookbooks for kids. They're supposed to be great! there's also an Alice Waters one -- Fanny at Chez Panisse, I think?

There's A Chef In My Soup looks like it is very popular. Does it have an alphabet soup recipe?

ETA- I see it does have an alphabet soup recipe!

We might get dd more than 1 cookbook so keep the recommendations coming!

There is a "Counting Soup" recipe made with alphabet noodles in "Salad People" by Mollie Katzen.
