Dresses for Pippa *with pics!*

These are a couple dresses I whipped up for DD-to-be last week. I used a Simplicity pattern (don't have the number handy, but I'll get it if anyone wants it). The green dress is supposed to be for a 6 month old, but she might be able to wear it by the time she's 2! So I made the pink one the smallest size in the pattern. Hopefully she can wear it this summer.

The dresses are sweet. I love the fabric choices you made.

I clicked on this thread because I think the name Pippa is such a great name! Is it short for anything?

Thanks! It's short for Phillippa, but we are just using Pippa on its own. Her name will be Pippa Zooey.

My great-grandma's name was Phillippa (although, her nickname was flip)--I was curious if you were using that. Good name choice!

Thanks! It's Simplicity 4054. I changed the straps on it, though. They are supposed to come to the back and attach with two buttons with button holes. Well, I don't do button holes! So, I just had them meet at the middle of the back and accented it with one big button.
