What to do about this problem?

I'm looking up info to help someone on another forum I go to. Her boyfriend is intact and is in a lot of pain during sex. She says, "So I never been with someone uncut before so I did a little research about it and all that. Well this website had drawings compairing cut to uncut when they are hard and not hard. Well last night I noticed that when my boy is hard he still has a little extra skin that covers the tip and thats what is getting pulled back and hurting him. He's still wanting to get cut but I told him I'd look into some info and let him know about it tonight. As far as lube goes we use lubricated condoms and it still hurts him."

What kind of info can I give her to help him without getting cut?

There is a steroid cream used with stretching exercises that should fix it.

Don't have any advice but... DH isn't cut and has never had this problem. I don't think getting cut would be a good solution to this problem though...

Beauge Method!

http://www.cirp.org/library/treatment/phimosis/beauge/

I particular like the analogy of stretching to the hymen of a woman- gentle stretching, or brutal ripping? (Except of course, hymens are not nearly so sensitive. Mine sure was a bitch to get rid of though! )

'More objectively the operation causes an aesthetic modification, and there is a risk of regarding the penis as disfigured; a circumcised man in our part of the world may himself be disgusted and his partners disturbed by the glans permanently exposed, just as we feel uncomfortable faced with an ectropion or a prolapse.'

Puppy, I would LOVE to see this linked prominently as a sticky. It is of more use than many; the many adolescents in GB who are circed or prematurely retracted, the vast number of people who don't know of non-surgical means of changing this possibly painful condition, so many people could be helped.

Does anyone know Dr Beauge in DOC, that could ask for permission to reprint?

Hi, go to www.cirp.org/library/treatment/phimosis/ . There are many ways to treat this problem that are far less radical and invasive than undergoing a circumcision. The first and most simple is to get a prescription for Betamethasone cream 0.05 and stretch the tight part of his foreskin . This usualy resolves the condition in 1 to 2 months, and has a success rate of around 85%. The next course of action would be a preputioplasty, that involves a couple of longitudinal incisions in the tight part of the foreskin that are then sutured transversely, effectively widening it. This method has a quick recovery period and , more importantly, preserves all of the form and function of the foreskin. The above link should have all the info you need. Don't forget to read the references at the end for more detail.

Puppy can't read every single post so if you want to direct me to something specific, please send me a PM. I try to skim it all, but I miss stuff!

The link seems quite informative and I would love to have it as part of our information easily accessible - either as a sticky or as a prominent link in a resources thread. I'll work on that!
Thanks!

Thanks everyone. The above links on phimosis I already gave to her, so hopefully he'll read them...from what she said, he seems kind of set on amputation, though. I hope he's not thinking it will be a quick fix.

Please please please try to emphasize trying to fix it vs. circ. My DH was having the same problem and we did not know enough and he was circ'd a little over a yr ago. We wish it hadn't been done. The drs will try to push for circ, finding out what is wrong and trying to treat it is the best way. I am sure you will find more info here. Good luck.

The thing with the Beauge method, is that for adult men you are partnered with, you could... help. Kwim?
