I know I did what I could now, but I still feel I should have done more. I should have started talking to her about it a long time ago. I only wish I had been braver and brought it up sooner. If only she and I had been talking back when I was going through my education process. But, we had a falling out back then and didn't talk for a couple of years. I'm sure I could sit here all day with the "could've/should've's". I just wish I could have saved that poor baby. And her excuses are so weak. Funny that she forgot that of the older men she knew who were not circumcised, my own father was one of them, and in the 65 years he was alive he was VERY happy with his own intact state. I just want to leave it on a positive note, though, and say THANK YOU to everyone who tries so hard to educate parents. It was because of the passion of you all that I finally "got it". I know how sad it is to lose one. It can be so frustrating. But, I will not give up. There are parents out there who do understand logic and can see this for what it really is-unnecessary mutilation. I have 2 little intact boys, who have never had a problem, to prove it  . |
